Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ResumeRadar ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered resume screening platform operated from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. For any privacy question, contact us at radarresume@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

Account data: name, email, company name, password (hashed, never stored in plain text).

Candidate data you upload: resumes, extracted text, names, emails, phone numbers, and any other information contained in files you upload for screening.

Usage data: screening history, AI results, pipeline activity, and audit logs of actions taken in the app.

Billing data: handled by Razorpay, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. Razorpay collects and processes card, UPI, and netbanking details directly under its own PCI-DSS compliant systems.

3. How we use your data

We use your data only to:

• Provide the resume screening, ranking, and reporting features you use
• Send transactional emails (confirmations, password resets, billing receipts)
• Maintain security and prevent abuse (rate limiting, audit logs)
• Improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

We do not sell your data, or candidates' data, to any third party — ever.

4. Payment processing (Razorpay)

All subscription payments are processed exclusively by Razorpay. We bill in INR for customers in India and in USD for international customers, based on your detected location. Razorpay handles all card, UPI, and netbanking data directly — we only store subscription metadata such as plan name, billing cycle, payment status, and renewal date, never your full payment instrument details.

5. AI processing

When you screen a resume, the resume text and job description are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a match score and analysis. This data is processed solely to return your result and is governed by Anthropic's API data usage terms, which do not use API inputs to train their models by default. We do not share candidate data with any other AI provider.

6. Data storage and security

• All data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL), encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Row-Level Security ensures your account's data is never accessible to other users
• Resume files are stored in access-controlled storage buckets, scoped to your account only
• We retain an audit log of actions taken on candidate data for compliance purposes

7. International data transfers

Our infrastructure (Supabase) and team are based in India. If you or your candidates are located outside India — including the EU, UK, or US — your data will be transferred to and processed in India. We rely on contractual safeguards with our infrastructure and payment providers to protect data transferred internationally, and apply the same security standards regardless of where data is processed.

8. Your rights (GDPR-aligned)

Regardless of your location, you can request to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you or your candidates
• Rectify — correct inaccurate data
• Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export — receive your data in a portable format

9. Candidate data — your responsibility

If you upload candidate resumes, you confirm you have a lawful basis to process that data (e.g., the candidate applied to your job posting). You are responsible for complying with applicable employment and data protection laws in your jurisdiction when using ResumeRadar to screen candidates.

10. Legal acceptance records

When you create an account or complete checkout, we record your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions, this Privacy Policy, and (at checkout) our Refund and Cancellation Policies. We store the timestamp, your user ID, and the policy version you accepted as proof of consent, in line with applicable consumer-protection and data-protection requirements.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and basic analytics to understand product usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

12. Data retention

We retain account and candidate data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, associated data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or tax purposes (e.g., billing records).

13. Children's privacy

ResumeRadar is a business tool intended for use by HR professionals and recruiters. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
